Part of the multi-disciplinary Nacelle Cover Sub module has total of 14 Significant Structural / Mechanical engineers responsible as technical leads, Functionals leads and Design Engineers with FEA, CAD and ECM competences.

Responsibilities

  • FEA assessment and working on local and global FEA modelling for Nacelle Cover Panels
  • Work along with Project team to understand the scope define the load requirements and safety factors for Nacelle Cover panels and Mechanical components
  • Writing the Design verification / Design Validation reports for our Nacelle cover panel 
  • Design for functionality, including functional interfaces
  • Design performance and reliability including lifetime estimates of the design
  • Design verification (incl. FEA), validation and reports
  • Design risk associated to the Nacelle cover panels 
  • Design Nacelle cover panels for safety and cost optimization
  • Working closely Product certification (DNV and Other certification)
  • Generate solutions for design challenges
  • Delivery of projects design work through gates, matching specifications for function, cost, quality, and time for Nacelle cover panels
  • Robust, reliable, efficient design solution with highest performance at the lowest cost across the value chain

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's & Master's in Mechanical / Polymer / Similar / Engineering or similar
  • Total 7+ years of experience in structural design and Finite element analysis from any heavy engineering industries
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Finite Element Analysis with software tools such as Ansys / Workbench
  • Deep understanding in composite materials & Manufacturing process & application are good have
  • Strong foundation in structural mechanics & Analysis technics 
  • Exposure to programming scripting language like Python, Matlab, etc. are good to have
  • Good knowledge in CAD software like CREO is advantage
  • Ability to create and maintain engineering documents like verification reports & compliance documents

Competencies

  • Adept Knowledge in Composites Material properties and manufacturing process ( Preferably wind turbine Nacelle Cover panel ) 
  • Ansys work bench and Global modelling experience with Pre and post calculation for composite panels 
  • Hands on experience bolt verification tools and hand calculation
  • Generate Design Verification report for product certification
  • FEA scripting
  • Topology optimization
  • Understanding of turbine loads and Technical understanding of a Wind Turbine Generator
  • Knowledge of Wind Industry Standards
  • Knowledge about extreme and fatigue analysis
  • Knowledge in system interface design & stakeholder management
  • Knowledge about composite manufacturing methods
  • Knowledge of system engineering tools like DFMEA, HSE assessments documentation
  • Knowledge about Test & Verification: Understand set up of testing & test result analysis
  • Supplier interaction
  • 3rd party certification
  • Engineering drawing: knowledge of international engineering design and drawing standards
  • Understanding a product life cycle/value chain
