Job Description

Do you have experience in leadership within occupational health and safety? Right now, we are actively searching for a manager to join our team at Northvolt ETT in Skellefteå! By working with us, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the construction of one of Europe's first large-scale battery factories, as well as the electrification and transition to a society free from carbon dioxide emissions.

As the head of our Health and Safety department, you will be responsible for establishing our processes and goals, as well as developing a culture around and ensuring safe work practices in our factory. This role will offer you the chance to work both operationally and strategically within our leadership team for Health and Safety. You will lead, coach, and build your team, consisting of Health and Safety engineers, where together you will work to establish our work environment at Northvolt ETT in Skellefteå.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach the Health and Safety team
  • Implement plans, routines, and processes for Health and Safety throughout the factory
  • Develop management systems for Health and Safety
  • Be part of and support operational/daily work
  • Lead and support in setting up and complying with requirements and regulations from external and internal needs
  • Lead investigations/root cause analysis in incidents. Report successes, issues, and statistics
  • Coach and train managers and employees to strengthen our Health and Safety culture

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

  • University education in health, safety, and environment or a similar field
  • Health and safety experience in Sweden, preferably within manufacturing, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries
  • +5 years of experience in Swedish health and safety legislation and its area
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Good knowledge of standardization, data analysis, and development of relevant policies

  • Understanding and experience of risk assessment and risk investigation methods

  • Leadership and coaching experience, with both groups and individuals
  • Ability to communicate clear guidelines within a multinational organization
  • Excellent spoken and written Swedish and English, knowledge of other languages is a plus

Please note that this job requires extensive knowledge of Swedish laws and regulations regarding occupational health and safety and its area.
