As a Customer Service Manager at Vestas you get to join a team of highly skilled colleagues dedicated to deliver significant business results within the global renewable energy sector.

Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > CSM, Norway Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux and Eastern Europe. We are responsible for the Sales function, Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout these regions. We strive to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, and we aim to make Vestas Northern and Central Europe the best place to work. The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind turbines within North West. As one of our Customer Service Managers are moving on to a new position within Vestas we are looking for a new Customer Manager to the team in Trondheim. The department, which consist of 8 colleagues, has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our growth. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

Responsibilities

  • As a Customer Manager, you will be responsible for the revenue of your own customer portfolio. As the main Vestas contact for your customers, you will create, build and retain high-quality customer relationship and internal collaboration, resulting in high customer satisfaction as well as solid financial growth for both the customer and Vestas.
  • Defining and seeking new business opportunities and coordinate complex after sales projects needed for profitable development
  • Acting on behalf of the customer internally within Vestas to ensure that we deliver on the customers’ business case, which will include communication with planning department, technicians and other stakeholders
  • Calculating and following up on cost and profitability of our service contracts as well as negotiate sales if additional service
  • Creating and securing administrative routines with new or existing customers
  • Actively participating in the hand overs of new wind parks from sales and construction 
  • Handling daily customer communications

Qualifications

  • On the professional side, we believe you have experience from a similar position in a similar industry, for instance from an international company, ideally from project management/service leader positions
  • Experience of working project based and being involved in execution process, communicating with several different stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar level acquired through work experience
  • Experience of CRM systems and following processes
  • Basic contractual knowledge is important as contracts form the baseline in discussion with customers
  • Good skills in MS Office and experience from using ERP system such as SAP
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Norwegian, other Nordic languages

  • A commercial mind-set with the ability to understand our business and what creates value for our key account customers and Vestas
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with a broad variety of external customers and internal Vestas departments at different levels
  • Ability to get involved in complex technical and contractual issues
  • Ability to coordinate projects both freely and in a team
  • Coordination skills and structured way of working

Additional information Your primary work location will be Trondheim, Norway. You should expect some travel activity, approximately 10 days per year.
