Generator Field Service Engineer

A Snapshot of Your Day

As Generator Field Service Engineer you supervise crews, inspect, test and communicate with internal and external customers. Based in North America, you will serve power-plant outages worldwide and travel up to 250 days per year.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supervise technicians during planned & unplanned generator outages, including on-site rewinds.
  • Perform visual, electrical and mechanical tests, analyse data and recommend repairs.
  • Lead safety, scheduling and technical decisions as the primary customer contact on site.
  • Collaborate with global engineering on specialised diagnostics and root-cause analyses.
  • Support district pre-planning and continuous-improvement activities.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technology.
  • Hands-on leader who enjoys solving complex electro-mechanical problems.
  • Willingness to travel 200-250 days per year for 2-15 week assignments.
  • Ability to work 60-84 h per week including weekends/holidays when deployed.
  • Physical fitness: climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift 40 lb, work outdoors.
  • Legal authorisation to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Rewards & Range
