Senior Design Engineer - Electrical

As Senior Electrical Design Engineer you design, develop and maintain power-generation electrical systems. You model complex plant behavior, perform dynamic analyses and apply control theory to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation.

Your Impact

• Design electrical systems for generators, generator protection & control panels and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR).
• Engineer multi-generator synchronisation, load sharing and power-management solutions.
• Specify battery systems, battery chargers and backup-power solutions.
• Develop motor, MCC and starter control schematics.
• Select equipment for hazardous-area installations (ATEX/IECEx).
• Perform fault-level, short-circuit and voltage-drop calculations.
• Prepare detailed single-line diagrams, control schematics and functional logic.
• Support procurement, installation and commissioning while ensuring IEC, IEEE and NFPA compliance.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s preferred.
• 8–12 years of electrical design experience in power generation or industrial plants.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA and Indian standards.
• Expertise in generators, AVRs, synch panels, load sharing and power stability.
• Skilled in battery/DC system sizing, motor control and MCC design.
• Experience with hazardous-area classification and equipment selection.
• Proficient in fault calculation, voltage-drop analysis and protection studies (ETAP, AutoCAD).
• Solid understanding of relay coordination, control logic and commissioning practices.
