About the position
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Inc. are looking for a highly skilled Construction Project Manager (CNPM) to manage the planning, execution of project construction, installation and commissioning activities and who is eager to play an important part in a dynamic and multi-cultural organization within the renewable energy industry. You will be based at our offices in Orlando, FL USA. The role will require some domestic and international travel, between different local office locations, suppliers, sites, and offshore visits.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy are seeking applications within the construction project management field for our Offshore Market Unit. We are looking for a strong and dedicated Construction Project Manager to provide expert project management experience, leadership and contractual knowledge for our project portfolio.
As a Construction Project Manager (CNPM) working with SGRE, you will be involved in contract negotiations, budgeting and lead the construction project and site team in all areas of offshore wind farm construction and commissioning, with work closely with external wind farm developers.
The position is primary office based and expected meeting activity. Travel activity are expected 70-90 days on an annual base.
Relocation may be offered for this role should it be necessary
What are my responsibilities?
You will in terms of project management be accountable for planning and overseeing the construction and commissioning activities associated with SGRE’s contracted scope of works.
You will have budget accountability for Onshore Pre-assembly, Offshore Installation and Commissioning including Manning, Cranes, Vessels, Tools and Spares etc. in accordance with relevant processes and procedures.
In the project organization you will report to the Project Director / Senior Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager.
You will also undertake management of the client interface regarding Pre-Assembly, Installation and Commissioning activities.
Other key tasks will include:
Conduct own work in compliance with internal Siemens Gamesa standards e.g. regarding HSE, Quality and SGRE processes etc.
Assisting Environmental Protection, Health Management & Safety in maritime matters
Promote EHS and be a champion and role model for safety and ensure all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with local legislation and SGRE HSE culture
Plan installation and commissioning concepts to project contractual requirements and strategy in cooperation with Project Director / Senior Project Manager.
Accountable for the coordination and control of the planning and execution activities within the project
Facilitate sub supplier selection and coordinate contract management of sub-suppliers
Functionally handle and manage supporting groups / sub-team members. Initiate and coordinate activities within assisting groups, including your Construction team setup.
Budgeting, time scheduling and detailed planning of all construction activities in the project
Assist the Project Director / Senior Project Manager in the overall management of Risk & Opportunities and Claim Management.

What do I need to qualify for this job?
Minimum qualification is Graduate-Bachelor´s Degree
As a person, you are open-minded and proactive with strong strategic and analytical skills, and you have a result and quality-oriented approach to your assignments, possess strong Project Management skills and experience in budget control and financial reporting
You are a dedicated team player with the ability to manage and motivate teams to perform successfully, have proven experience in complex construction projects, preferably for the offshore industry.
You thrive in an international, multi-cultural team and capable of working effectively across department boundaries in a large organization environment and possess excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
You have a structured mindset and a strategic view on things, though you possess the right skills to switch between detailed and high-level overview and thereby create a clear image of the product scope and processed data.
