We are now looking for a Marine & Logistics Manager to help us fully responsible for successful execution of Site Installation Projects.

How to contribute to our vision

This position supports all port activity, including vessel operations and safely moving blades and turbine component parts around the Port of Esbjerg, involving to and from the factory, into main storage, to and from vessels at the quayside both within the Port/harbor area.  

There will be a requirement to manage general site duties within the Port, including any extended storage space in the Esbjerg Port area.  

The individual appointed will represent Siemens Gamesa, exclusively, monitoring, recording, contact managing suppliers, Lead the storage& planning and advising of concerns; particularly relating to Safety.

The Marine & Logistics Manager duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Coordinate and organize movement and storage of WTG components & the correct level of stock and maintain a good flow of product
  • Keep the correct flow of component & overview of the storage situation
  • Perform data entry for inventory, Work closely with the Supply Chain Planner in DK and the Supply Chain Coordinators in EU
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports relating to storage status and movement
  • Utilize computer systems to enter orders, track orders, check inventory, and problem solve
  • Obtain information, observe, receive from all relevant sources
  • Make note of this information and commit to memory
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution
  • Document/record information and maintaining information in written or electronic form
  • Understand all shipping and returns
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by the management

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change

We also expect you to have:

  • 2–5 years of service experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Active listening to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing
  • Mathematics knowledge
  • Neat appearance and pleasant phone manner is also required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
