For our Onshore Construction Project Management team acting within North Europe and Middle East region at Siemens Gamesa, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Construction Project Manager who is will be accountable for construction package of a project. The role entails managing project throughout its execution lifecycle - from sales handover to customer and service handover.

It includes following major responsibilities:

· Managing crane & installation subcontractors and their performance according to contractual conditions (incl. support in tender process when selecting a subcontractor)

· Managing and reporting on construction budget

· Ensuring site readiness in terms of civil works

· Planning, organizing and ensuring that the wind turbine components, construction related resources e.g. site personnel, tools & materials, site facilities, documentation, IT systems are available timely for successful installation

· Ensuring that project is ready for customer and service handovers from construction package point of view

How to contribute to our vision 

You will be working closely with different internal teams and stakeholders.

Each day is different in this position as you may be:

· Collaborating with the site team to monitor installation progress, risks and opportunities

· Supporting the general Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager in installation budget control, operational decisions, forecast and extra cost handling (claims, variation orders) as a strong planning, controlling, monitoring and negotiating partner and have delegated authority to make all sub project day-to-day decisions up to the agreed limits.

· Managing our business partners involved in turbine installation

What you need to make a difference

· Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

· An academic master’s degree in engineering or similar in combination with practical experience within project management from multicultural business environment. Certification in Project Management would be an advantage (e.g. PMI PMP, IPMA C or above).

· Leadership skills, with ability to challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results with customer-orientation in mind.

· As you will be in constant cooperation with a great number of internal and external stakeholders, it is important that you have stakeholder management skills: you are collaborative, able to negotiate and influence, able to facilitate and coordinate, and support in solving any arising conflicts.

· Contract and commercial management understanding incl. competence to perform project management related administrative tasks upon the needs.

· Thrive in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and still able to apply structured approach to your work.

· Excellent communication skills in English (our corporate language), both written and verbal. Fluency in any Scandinavian languages is an advantage.

· IT skillset and savvy: skills in MS Office, SAP and engineering software e.g. AutoCAD, combined with your interest and willingness to learn new IT tools and applications will help you to succeed in this role.

· This position also requires availability to travel approx. 20-25 days per year upon the needs.
