Position Overview:

  • This role is for the Global Distribution Area 2 (Northern America’s) logistics. The main focus is to ensure that the overall team come together as a united team to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers from the distribution areas warehouses, distribution centers and forward stock locations as designed within the network design.

  • The role has overall responsibility for the logistics teams within this function including Customer Order Management, Warehouse Management and Transportation to ensure that orders coming into the department are processed and delivered safely and in a timely manner in line with the company process.

  • Management and coaching of department managers and team leaders located throughout the region, you will work to ensure alignment with global processes and systems whilst delivering excellent service to our internal operations and aftermarket customers and bringing unified approach with the teams to ensure on time delivery.

  • You will be responsible for the logistics strategy roll out for your region including deployment and governance, always aiming for the best trade-off between responsiveness and cost efficiency in the supply chain.

  • You will be a member of the Northern Americas regional Senior Leadership team to represent the wider global supply chain management team to ensure that the voice of the region is held within the global strategy. Working with closely with the sales and operations teams and the procurement teams to ensure high parts availability and delivery reliability with focus on customers satisfaction via on time order release, pick and pack and delivery to our customers.

  • Your mission will be to contribute towards the delivery reliability of supply chain to ensure delivery of the right parts, at the right place, at the right time.

  • Relocation may be offered for this role should it be necessary

  • Travel required is up 20%

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a robust function aligned with the global blueprint and strategy whilst supporting and coordinating change management and daily operational actions and changes that are required as part of the global strategy.

  • Ensure safeguarding, safe storage and safe handling of inventories within the global supply chain warehouses (in-house and 3PL).

  • Management and governance of the function, ensuring agreed targets and key performance measures are achieved.

  • Actively work on improvements within the teams and with logistics providers to realize improved KPI and PPI performance levels

  • Be the key interface into the America’s regional senior leadership team for all supply chain related topics and work with key stakeholders to be voice of the customer.

  • Develop and lead and manage an empowered team by means of succession planning, training and trust culture and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness, ensures high performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement, with motivated employees and retention of key staff

  • Operates to the highest business standards, manage risk to ensure on time delivery.

  • Budgeting and cost control monitoring financial performance against budgets and identifying cost saving opportunities within logistics.    

Required Knowledge/ Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Masters degree in supply chain, logistics or business admin required

  • Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are also looking for a results oriented motivating team player, who is resilient, responsible, and structured with excellent communication skills at all levels.

  • You are motivated by leading the teams to provide quality results within the deadlines and are happy to work in a dynamic organization and environment.

  • You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and be accustomed to working to set, tight timescales and will demonstrate the ability to adapt to any sudden changes in the priorities.

  • We’re looking for a customer-focused who will make a big, positive impact to the team and mould this new role whilst being the driving force in both their own and the departments success.

  • More than 8 years’ managerial experience leading multicultural teams in areas of Supply Chain ideally with both regional and global functions with a proven track record of driving improvements.

  • Ethical behavior, capacity to build cross-functional collaboration, risk management, impactful change leadership, ownership, innovativeness, focus on results, people and customers, problems & conflicts resolution and energy.
