For our location in Cairo, we are looking for an experienced leader to head our simulation and hardware development teams. As a key member of our new established team, you'll be responsible for overseeing resource planning, task management, infrastructure development and local hiring initiatives for the new simulation center in Cairo. You will work within and support the global engineering teams developing new sonnen hardware products for different markets.

What you will do to help drive energy transition:

• Establishing and leading the simulation team for mechanical and thermal 3D simulation within sonnen group

• Selection and implementation of simulation enviroment (tool, processes)

• Local leadership for HW development engineers (mechanical design, electronics design)

• Support and contribution in building sonnen Cairo engineering site and team

What you will need on this journey:

• University degree in physics, mechanical engineering or related disciplines

• Proven track record of leadership in leading development teams, with a focus on energy technology or renewable energy preferred. 

• Proficient in 3D mechanical and thermal simulation, CAD systems and thermal concepts

• Experienced in mechanical design and simulation

• Experience in working in an international environment and strong project management skills to effectively coordinate and execute development projects. 

• Exceptional communication skills. 

• Fluency in English and Arabic required, proficiency in German considered advantageous.
