We are seeking a dedicated Chief Engineer / Technology Owner for Secondary Structures (SST) to play a pivotal role in advancing the Wind Turbine Tower and Foundation (T&F) development.

   

How to contribute to our vision  

As Chief Engineer SST (Secondary Structures) for Onshore towers, you:

  • are responsible for ensuring the right technologies, products and solutions are developed and optimally integrated
  • are responsible for a specific technology area for Off- and Onshore secondary structures and will drive its technology roadmap for SST and scope and prioritize its technology development projects 
  • represent SST in different boards and communities and act as a central contact point inside and outside the company. Your main stakeholders include – beside others – Procurement, Construction, Service and Manufacturing 
  • are the technical accountable for SST in Root Cause Analysis/8Ds and ensure that the right conclusions are taken to improve the product 
  • work in close collaboration with the other SST Chief Engineers and T&F Chief Engineer 
  • act as central contact point inside and outside the company and will connect with the technical experts and stakeholders to support efficient communication and the solution finding process 

What you need to make a difference  

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for an engineer who:

  • Has bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering 
  • Has Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in product development or engineering 
  • Is self-driven, motivated, engaged to solve difficult technical challenges through innovation and cooperation with a global team 
  • Has cross-disciplinary understanding of the tower design process and its value chain with special focus on secondary structures  
  • Has experience in technical leadership and mentorship 
  • Has systematic and well-organized approach, maintaining a solid oversight of projects and able to make calculated decisions based on the knowledge and risks known 
  • Can work and thrive both independently and in a team environment 
  • Has Strong coordination, communication and presentation skills 
  • Is Proficient in English language
