We are looking for a Delegation Center Lead for our Offshore unit, based in Gdansk, Poland.

How to contribute to our vision 

The delegation support department provides support regarding cross-border posting especially for immigration, social security and posted worker declaration requirements to employees working abroad during execution of offshore projects globally. The department ensures compliance with domestic rules and regulations in the host countries and that the company and employees are covered against any risks when travelling abroad. 

The Delegation Center Lead is fully responsible for the Delegation Support Center within Offshore construction consisting of experts and coordinators. Due to needs of internal stakeholders (offshore employees working abroad) the implementation of the department is currently ongoing. As a result, the Delegation Center Lead might participate partially in the recruitment process of the coordinators for the new team.

Additionally, some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Act as the team lead for delegation experts and delegation coordinators.
  • Report to the Head of Site Planning.
  • Delegate with line managers, Delegation support team (experts and coordinators), Global Mobility functions (especially tax and compensation departments internally), Global mobility service providers (external vendors)
  • Secure implementation of the newly introduced delegation support department.
  • Guide and lead the delegation support team to perform according to the process and guidelines. Implement standards and process improvements.
  • Internal and external escalations within the delegation support process.
  • Measure KPIs and derive actions.
  • Develop and deploy new improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate and bridge key learning and best practice to deliver a reliable, fast delegation support culture and mindset.

What you need to make a difference 

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Practical experience with immigration and cross-border assignment of workers for construction activities in multiple countries. Knowledge about posted workers regulations and social security regulations will be a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor with excellent communication, leadership, organizational and time-management skills in global workplaces.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture and good decision-making skills.
  • Experience with development of processes, tracking lists etc.
  • You enjoy working with people & have great networking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and structured way of working.
  • Experience with complex processes involving various stakeholders, showing a high level of ownership and persistent.
  • You are able to motivate and further develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication skills. Good written and oral business English.
  • You thrive in a multi-cultural environment and are familiar with working in large organizations. Since your team and key stakeholders are located in different locations, some travel within Europe can be expected (approx. 10-20% of the time).
  • The delegation support center supports globally across time zones, therefore please be aware that flexible working hours may be required.
