Job Description

Our maintenance team is expanding, and Northvolt is now looking for a Director of Maintenance to our gigafactory in Skellefteå, Sweden!

As the Director of Maintenance, you will have big impact on directing the planning, development, implementation, administration, and budgeting of most or all the following Maintenance functions: Technical administration HSE Warehousing Spare parts management machining and tooling Instrumentation & metrology Document management 3rd part inspections and asset management

Further, you will advise company management in Maintenance policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Further develop and implement a proactive maintenance strategy that ensures efficient operations • Ensure implementation of organization policies and procedures. • Develop and implement maintenance programs to increase the efficiency of maintenance workers, maximize revenue, and improve customer satisfaction. • Manage maintenance department expenditures within approved budget including the regulation of plant operations. • Ensure the department’s compliance with the law and other regulatory terms.

• Budget responsibility: Yes • Direct reports: Yes • Authorized to decide on investments according to role and policy.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent University degree with good understanding of basic financial principles • Proven Leadership in large Manufacturing Organizations (50+ people) • Experience in the modern Operations Management principles: Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma • An example driven management of the shop floor. Resolute 5S • Capacity to move from strategic level to problem solving leader in the matter of seconds •Excellent English written and oral skills

Bonus points for:

• Fluent Swedish, written and oral skills. • Highly organized and result-driven • Proactive and goes beyond expectations • Exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skills
