Are you enthusiastic about promoting innovation and making impactful decisions? Vestas Technology & Operations invites a versatile professional to become a part of our System Integration & Digital Enablement team in the R&D department. As a significant contributor, you will integrate your proficiency in techno-economic analysis with software engineering skills to steer innovative projects from the concept stage to actual implementation.

Vestas R&D is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Research & Development, you'll find our department, System Integration & Digital Enablement as a part of New Concepts & Power to X.

In System Integration & Digital Enablement, we are a small team with the responsibility to continuously improve the way we deliver innovation projects. As a part of the department's purpose, we develop and maintain software tools to evaluate different projects/concepts consistently and identify risks/gaps and opportunities in projects.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a new "Swiss Army Knife" colleague who can contribute to our projects with techno-economic analysis as well as maintain and develop the software suite for conducting the techno-economic analysis.

In your role, you will:

  • Be involved in our projects developing new concepts. Here you will be guiding decisions and de-risking activities
  • Run scenarios within our toolchain analyzing novel ideas from the projects
  • Collaborate with the product planning team to facilitate a smooth transition from idea to product
  • Be a part of the team responsible for maintaining and further developing the toolchain for analyzing scenarios
  • Summarize findings and communicate to relevant stakeholders
  • Be a part of the team actively looking for ways to improve the way we work and the efficiency of our projects

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, or similar
  • Experience in engineering or technical sales within the wind industry
  • Good techno-commercial knowledge
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge of MATLAB or Python programming

Competencies

  • Understand and bridge both technical and commercial elements of a specific project/concept/idea
  • Ability to do both fast (back of a napkin) and deep well-documented work
  • Highly skilled in problem-solving, analysis and debugging
  • An outgoing approach and eager to move forward
  • Great communication skills, and fluency in English, both verbally and in writing

The primary work location is in Aarhus, Denmark.
