We are looking for an experienced Construction Engineer focusing on rotating equipment to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Cathode Active Materials team based in Skellefteå, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up giga factory ett and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.
About the job: The Construction Engineer oversees the delivery, preservation, installation, pre-commissioning and handover to commissioning of process equipment performed by third party contractors, ensuring compliance with schedule, costs, quality, health, safety and environmental protection requirements for projects within Cathode Active Material processing, Waste Water Treatment and Utilities generation & distribution. Specifically for Process Rotating Equipment, the Construction Engineer shall have solid background in installation and pre-commissioning of pumps, compressors, screw conveyors, agitators, fans, air coolers and other rotating machinery. Relevant experience in equipment installation, quality control and vendor management is needed.

Professional Experience:
Familiarity with API (American Petroleum Institute) standards, such as: – API 610, Centrifugal Pumps – API 617, Axial and Centrifugal Compressors and Expander-compressors – API 618, Reciprocating Compressors – API 686, Recommended Practice for Machinery Installation and Installation Design
Familiarity with ASME standards, such as:
– B31.1, Power Piping – ASME B31.3, Process Piping – ASME B31.8, Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems – ASME PTC 8.2, Centrifugal pumps performance test codes –ASME PTC 10, Performance test code on compressors and exhauster
Certifications:
• Driver's License class B valid in Sweden/EU • BAM (Bättre Arbetsmiljö) and BAS-P/U course highly valued • Heta Arbeten Permit Issuer (hot works loss prevention) course highly valued • Work at height, MEWP, safe lifting, and Scaffold <9m training certifications highly valued
Other valuable (but not required) experience: • Familiarity with AB04 (general conditions of contract for building & civil engineering works & building services) • Familiarity with ABT06 (general conditions of contract for design & construct contracts for building, civil engineering, and installation works) • Familiarity with Sweden’s Arbetsmiljöverket Laws and Provisions applicable to construction projects • Familiarity with the applicable AMA codes, SSG standards and BBR (Boverkets Byggregler) building regulations
Language Skills: • English proficiency mandatory • Swedish proficiency highly valued • Proficiency with the language of Contractor manpower highly valued as well.
Computer Literacy: • MS Office • MS Project or other Planning/Scheduling software highly valued
