Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy now has an exciting opportunity for a Project Controller to join a dynamic and friendly team. We are looking for a motivated colleague to become part of our Project Controlling Team, predominantly supporting execution of the Onshore Wind Farm Service projects in Norway.

The team consists of one Project Controller who supports Norway, three Project Controllers who support Sweden, Finland, and the Baltics, and five Project Controllers who support Great Britain locally in their respective countries. You will engage with each other as members of the same team. Additionally, you will be a part of a larger community that includes Project Controllers from numerous other European countries. We have both junior and senior coworkers, and we all have the same objective in mind; we are passionate about what we do and believe that what we do improve the world in which we live.

How to contribute to our vision

As a Project Controller, you are the Financial Business Partner to Commercial Project Managers as well as Operational team such as Service coordinators, Service Planners, Site lead and Operations Managers.

You will be part of a wider Project Controlling team and also interface in other areas such as accounting. In this role you will be responsible for providing clear, accurate and insightful analysis on the financial aspects of your projects, in order to aid the Project team in maximizing both operational and financial performance.

You will be involved in process improvement to optimize processes across the team. As a Project Controller you are responsible for cost controlling, forecasting, billing and reporting on assigned service contracts.

The tasks per project are related to but not limited to:

• Set up of service agreements in the SAP Systems (project set-up/contract creations).

• Maintenance of our projects in SAP/assure accuracy of data in SAP.

• Billing of service fee and after-market including calculations of index escalations

• Follow up on receivables.

• Analyze actual costs vs forecast; explain deviations in the project by using references to specific cost drivers.

• Warranty controlling.

• Support monthly, quarterly and yearly closing processes.

• Contribute to ad hoc analysis and clarifications requested by Commercial project Managers or other project team members.

What you need to make a difference

Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading change, we are looking for you to be a team player, resilient, responsible, structured, and with a focus on effective communication. Furthermore, you:

• take ownership of project financial matters and want to drive improvement initiatives.

• flexibility and ability to work under pressure and in a changing environment.

• strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications:

• You have completed a Bachelor-or a master’s degree within Finance/Business/Accounting or comparable education.

• You gained 1- 5 years of experience in Accounting or Controlling.

• Experience with Commercial Contracts is an advantage.

• You thrive in working with systems and big data handling with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI etc. If you have experience in SAP4HANA and Analysis for Office, it is even better.

• You enjoy having English as your work-related language. Nordic language would also be a plus.
