Job Description

The HRIS Coordinator oversees the management and optimization of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) platform within the organization. This role encompasses various responsibilities aimed at ensuring the effective utilization of HR technology solutions to support HR operations, enhance data accuracy, and drive strategic decision-making.

Overall areas of responsibility and activities:

  • Administer and maintain the HRIS platform, including data entry, data integrity, and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to identify system needs, enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and provide technical support to end-users.
  • Generate reports and analyze HR data to support decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate user training sessions and develop user documentation to promote system adoption and proficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with IT support teams.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in HR technology and make recommendations for system enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information.
  • Assist in the implementation of system upgrades, integrations, and new modules as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline HR processes and optimize system functionality.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in HRIS administration or related role.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with data reporting tools and experience in generating and analyzing HR metrics.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is preferred.
  • Certification in HRIS administration or related field is a plus.

About the company

Northvolt is a European supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. Founded in 2016 to enable the European transition to a decarbonized future, Northvolt has made swift progress on its mission to deliver the world’s greenest lithium-ion battery with a minimal CO2 footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling. Northvolt Ett is a next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, the gigafactory will be one of the largest battery cell factory in Europe and produce at least 32 GWh of capacity annually.

Alongside Northvolt Ett, Northvolt is also establishing a manufacturing site for battery systems in Gdansk, Poland. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
