Dimensional Inspector – Raw/Machined Cast Parts & Large Steel Fabrication

A Snapshot of Your Day

You ensure inspections meet specifications and review technical and formal documentation. You document discrepancies, communicate them clearly, and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. As part of a distributed team, you collaborate daily with colleagues across regions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Prepare, execute, and follow up dimensional inspections on raw and finished cast components.
• Perform manual dimensional inspections at supplier sites for gas and steam turbines and generator parts.
• Lead supplier qualification and development to improve supplier quality and purchased-part quality.
• Introduce preventive measures at suppliers to avoid quality issues.
• Partner with internal teams to drive continuous quality improvements.
• Review technical drawings internally for compliance and accuracy.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of dimensional-inspection experience.
• Technical background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or metalworking, with QA and metrology expertise.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and flexibility; proactive mindset.
• Experience with advanced measurement methods and 3D data evaluation (modelling skills preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP; fluent English.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Knowledge of 5 Whys, FMEA, 8D, RCA (advantageous).
• NDT certifications (VT, PT, MT) preferred.
