Job Description

We are looking for a driven Material Handling Technician to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Logistics team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing Northvolt Labs and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job As a Material Handler Technician you will be responsible for receiving incoming goods from external stakeholders, distributing and delivering material from warehouse inventory to specific areas for production, in accordance with current routines and guidelines.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Suggest improvements regarding safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintaining correct stock levels by identifying, labelling and placing materials and supplies on correct locations.
  • Deliver both direct and indirect materials to internal stakeholders.
  • Document materials and supplies inventory and delivery notes when incoming.
  • Receiving return material from production by verifying correct item number, quantity and batch number and placing in stock.
  • Preparing finished goods for shipment by identifying, packing, securing and loading materials.
  • Document and confirming shipments to internal stakeholder(s).
  • Maintaining warehouse by daily pre-use inspections, checklists and cleaning.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • High school diploma or gymnasium or equivalent qualification
  • 2+ years working experience in a similar role
  • Excellent English & Swedish written and oral skills
  • Open to work shifts (day & evening)
  • Experience in forklift driving
  • Bonus points for experience in Microsoft D365 is a plus
