We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Operations Manager Business Systems to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent/bold/passionate Business Systems team based in Stockholm. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing/ramping up our Business Systems Operations function and team and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

**About the job

**What does Operations in Business Systems mean? Well there are many different synonyms but in essence the Operations Team keep the business and our systems alive and make sure they are well taken care off. Not only in a reactive move, solving possible bugs, incidents and problems but proactively avoiding these issues even to happen. We are not looking for the more classic set-up, we want the latest set-up, AI/ML, technology in general. We need a scalable operations, not just scalable in additional hands &feet but a truly scalable operations. Since we are mainly working on systems, platforms and applications, some would call it Applications Management, and they could be right but we do not the classic set up. We are looking for who lives and breaths Operations. We would like to meet candidates that have seen different set-ups and learnt what works and what not works. We want to find the one who is dreaming of setting up a Operations set-up almost green-field. We have our ERP, we have around 40 SaaS, big and small. It´s not straight forward, it´s not classic and it is a challenge. We need to reinforce compliance, governance, processes and WoW. We are supporting our solutions today but we need to improve and scale. The Operations team will not be a big one, it will be small and effective and efficient. You will be working with several external partners and you will drive the establishment of potentially new partnerships. The company is growing, both our solutions and services but additionally geographically. The opportunities is endless.

About the team

The team is there to be built. This role is the first. Operations is today spread out in several teams but we need to centre the governance and the control to achieve true progress and scalability

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage the Operations team and tasks

• Build the team and refine the process, tools and ways of working

• Establish a new operating model for Operations

• Align with internal and external stakeholders

• Run Operations for all existing and new Business Systems globally.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

• A degree in BSc/MSc or MBA/Relevant University Degree

• 10+ years working experience in Application Maintenance/Application Development focusing on ERP, Microsoft Dyanmics, SaaS solutions, Integrations etc

• Excellent English written and oral skills

• Track record of successful estblishment of AM/AD set-ups or optimization of established AM/AD set-ups

• Experienced in Jira/Confluence, DevOps or equivalent

• Experience from defining and establishing outsourcing deliveries from near-shore/offshore for a company operating on multiple continents

Bonus points for:

• Experience and interest in manufacturing industry

• Fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)

• Experience from a multi-cultural environment

Northvolt Ett is a next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, the gigafactory will be one of the largest battery cell factory in Europe and produce at least 32 GWh of capacity annually.

Alongside Northvolt Ett, Northvolt is also establishing a manufacturing site for battery systems in Gdansk, Poland. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
