How to contribute to our vision

For our Electrical department within SGRE in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for an electrical cable design engineer with focus on technical support and technology transfer coordination. Our department is supporting both the Onshore and Offshore platforms during prototype design and technology transfers into serial production. Thus, it is important to be structured, conscious about quality, and have a technical understanding to work within different environments and with different mindsets.

You will be responsible for cable design and the configuration of the LV auxiliary system including control cabinets, cables, and sensors for our onshore wind turbines. This also includes design responsibility for documentation, validation, and support towards production.

Your solutions are characterized by an end-to end thinking, a safety and cost mindset, and you know what it takes to make things work in the field.

More specifically, your assignments will be:

  • Detailed design and creating technical documentation within your area of responsibility

  • Providing specialized technical support and troubleshooting in relation to the auxiliary system

  • Continuous development and improvement of processes, documentation and methods required to ensure efficient and best practice design of electrical systems and interfaces

  • Technical risk assessments / Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)

  • Support production lines during protype builds / serial ramp-up.

  • Supporting tasks within Engineering Change Management and implementation of those changes in the production environments

What you need to make a difference:

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or a background as an electrician with a few years of relevant experience within production or wind industry.

You must also have excellent communication and presentation skills in Danish and English. German proficiency will be a plus.

As a person, you should have a team spirit, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive and navigate a dynamic and complex environment. You must be self-driven and able to travel during production ramp ups.

In addition, it would be an advantage if you have knowledge of:

  • International standards and best practices related to electrical design like IEC 61439 series and IEC 60204-1

  • Tools (e.g. SEE Electrical, Eplan, Teamcenter)

  • Experience with ERP systems – preferable SAP
