How to contribute to our vision

As the Equipment Excellence Team Lead, you will be a key player in ensuring that our Equipment function aligns with the strategic goals of the department and broader business objectives.

You will foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring the department operates at a world-class level. By both leading a team and contributing individually to key projects, you will help enhance the operational excellence of the department and contribute to the company’s long-term success.

Your role is pivotal to the Equipment department’s success, as it is closely linked to the strategic decision-making processes. While you will lead the team, this position also offers opportunities to act as an individual contributor, particularly in driving key internal projects and initiatives.

This role could be a great first management position for someone with a background in business consulting, operations or process improvements and who is looking to develop their leadership skills. You will report to the Head of Equipment Strategy and Value Engineering and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to drive performance and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team of six professionals, ensuring that team performance is aligned with business objectives and supports continuous improvement.
  • Grow team members to their full potential by supporting their competence development and improvement efforts.
  • Implement strategies to ensure the continuous improvement of the team’s responsibilities, focusing on high-quality output and operational excellence.
  • Ensure effective resource management, as well as quality assurance and yearly budgeting activities within the Equipment function.
  • Support and develop reporting processes and tools within Equipment
  • Strengthen the commercial mindset within the team and provide support to EQ management and stakeholders.
  • Drive regular portfolio revision meetings with customers, ensuring that strategic goals are achieved.
  • In some cases, act as an individual contributor, particularly on strategic internal projects, reporting, and process improvements.

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Experience in managing or working with budgets, resource allocation, and quality assurance within a technical or equipment-focused environment.
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to engage with executive stakeholders, make informed decisions, and communicate clearly across various levels of the organization.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Strong collaborator with both functional experts and senior stakeholders; adept at navigating complex environments and fostering innovation.
  • Additional Qualities: Strong financial acumen, continuous improvement mindset, and someone who thrives in team-oriented settings.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle strategic decision-making processes.
  • While leadership experience is preferred, this role could be a great first management opportunity for someone with strong operational or process improvement experience.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and spoken communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Experience working in global or multi-cultural environments.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management and reporting tools such as Power BI and JIRA.
  • Knowledge of the equipment industry or technical project management environments.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams or projects is an advantage but not mandatory
