Job Description

We are looking for a driven Technical Project Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Digitalization New Factories team based in Stockholm, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in contributing to our gigafactories across the world.

We have invested significant effort in developing one of the most sophisticated manufacturing execution systems (MES) for battery manufacturing - completely in-house. We aim to deploy and customize this system for each new factory and manufacturing setup on Northvolt's roadmap.

In your role, you will be responsible for helping us standardize and oversee design, engineering, deployment, testing and validation phases of our MES system for our new factories worldwide.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the deployment of MES, or digitalization initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and operations, to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines
  • Project planning, risk management, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution
  • Foster effective communication among team members and stakeholders to facilitate project progress and address potential issues
  • Travel to production sites on a regular basis to ensure successful rollout of MES solution

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • 3+ years of proven experience in efficiently managing digitalization projects and/or IT projects and/or industrial automation projects in discrete or process industries
  • Degree in engineering or computer science (preferred but not mandatory) or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with MES rollout and/or development
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (Jira, MS Project & Confluence)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent English written and oral skills
  • Successful collaboration in international cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams
