Are you flexible and curious with an eye for detail? The NOVO Energy team is growing fast, and we’re now looking for an Accountant to help our Finance team create organizational excellence!

We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe.

Volvo Cars is one of the most well-known and respected car brands in the world. Northvolt is a leading supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems, dedicated to delivering the world’s greenest lithium-ion battery.

Together, we have formed a joint venture, NOVO Energy, to power the next generation of pure electric Volvo cars.

What you will do

You will be joining us at this critical moment of the project, where you will play an important role in the day-to-day accounting needs of the business and with possibilities to grow inside the team and organization. Ultimately, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our company's financial health and ensuring the efficient use of our resources. As the company expands, you'll gain valuable experience while utilizing state-of-the-art technology and creating efficient processes to optimize our Finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the daily operations of the accounting function, including month and year-end close processes, general ledger entries, accounts reconciliation as well as bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and update the fixed asset register to comply with Swedish GAAP and IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and ensure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with applicable accounting standards, Swedish GAAP and IFRS.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports including the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Assist with the preparation and execution of our annual audit process and providing high quality audit schedules and supporting documentation to our external auditors.

Skills & Requirements

We are seeking a flexible, self-motivated and eager-to-learn individual. Qualities that we cherish are a sense of quality, collaborative skills and curiosity.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have:

• A relevant university degree
• Minimum two years of working experience as an accountant or from working in an auditing firm
• Excellent verbal and written English skills

It's also meriting if you have:

• Experience in working in the construction or manufacturing/production industry
• Experience in working in Dynamics Finance & Operations
