Backend Developer

A Snapshot of Your Day

You manage web servers and configure essential services for optimum performance, working closely with data scientists and analysts whose insights you use to enhance system functionality. A major focus is supporting the transition from monoliths to microservices by implementing and operating cloud-native solutions on AWS. With Infrastructure-as-Code you automate cloud-infrastructure provisioning and management. You monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, networking and resource allocation, and develop applications as containers for maximum portability.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Design, develop and maintain scalable back-end systems with C# .NET or Python – high-quality, maintainable, efficient code
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions together with cross-functional teams
• Implement security and data-protection measures
• Create unit tests and conduct code reviews, mentor junior colleagues

What You Bring

• 5+ years back-end experience, strong skills in C# .NET or Python
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, OOP and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD, agile methods (Scrum/Kanban)
• Hands-on experience with IaC, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS networking (VPC, Gateways)
