Job Description

Northvolt has an exciting job possibility for a technician specialized in the field of CCD (Charge-Coupled Device), cameras and Machine Vision applications in the first European battery Giga-factory, Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå.

You will be working intimately with the machine vision engineering team to maintain the in-line quality measurement systems in the factory. The production environment has very high demands on up-time to reach the set quality level, production efficiency and traceability.

In general, you understand the concepts of cameras, lightings, fixtures, integration with other automation components and know basics of software development. You like hands-on activities, working closely to the equipment, enjoy problem solving, troubleshooting and teamwork.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide on-site support to the production/manufacturing teams by troubleshooting CCD issues, making sure production is not getting stopped
  • Maintain proper documentation of all CCD troubleshooting occurred in assigned process area.
  • Development of preventative and predictive maintenance procedures for CCD hardware components
  • Support Machine Vision Engineering team during installation, testing and qualification of new vision equipment and continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide feedback on the performance of vision systems and support various continuous improvement projects.
  • Work on shifts.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Basic knowledge about camera lenses, functioning of an industrial camera, lighting components.
  • Hands-on experience in using basic tools to loosen and tighten camera and light fixtures.
  • Basic knowledge to login and use industrial computers, file management system.
  • Understanding troubleshooting flow charts and following safety, electrical standards.
  • Great communication and hands-on experience working in a high-volume production environment with cross - functional teams would be a plus.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry
  • Experience from a multi-cultural environment
