About Zipline Zipline is transforming global logistics with autonomous drone technology. AI-powered drones cut CO₂ emissions, reduce traffic congestion and provide equitable access to billions of people. To strengthen our Australian team we are looking for a Chief Pilot. You will be responsible for all flight-safety, training and compliance processes of our drone fleet and report directly to the Managing Director of Zipline Australia. Your responsibilities - Lead all flight teams at multiple Australian sites - Maintain operations manuals, procedures and documentation - Develop and continuously improve ground & flight training programs with global partners - Monitor safety, airworthiness and training status of crews - Conduct risk analyses, safety audits and prepare new sites before go-live - Mentor and train flight personnel development - Continuously optimize operational processes for scale and safety - Ensure CASA compliance within certified operational framework Your profile - CASA Private or Commercial Pilot Certificate plus Remote Pilot Certificate - University degree (Bachelor) - Minimum 3 years of experience in the UAS sector - Proven experience in creating flight manuals, procedures and training content - Strong organizational and leadership skills - Solution-oriented and able to work independently - Australian citizenship or permanent residency Preferred - Flight instruction or standardization experience (manned or unmanned) - Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) - Experience with certified aviation operations or regulatory engagements Zipline is an equal-opportunity employer.
