Control Systems Programming Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Day-to-Day

Join a dynamic role where you will lead exciting projects from day one. After coordinating with sales and customers you will set up hardware- and software-focused projects—from Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) through Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to final hand-over of fully operational turbo-compressor trains.

How You Create Impact

  • Create and program PLC projects according to engineering documents.
  • Commission control panels in the workshop to specification.
  • Test control-system hardware and software for optimal performance.
  • Conduct and attend customer acceptance tests worldwide.
  • Verify and implement controls-engineering specifications.
  • Review client requirements for PLC, I/O, cyber-security, etc.
  • Compile complete material lists for PLC hardware and software.
  • Prepare and review project documents such as network and logic diagrams.
  • Meet project schedule and budget targets; support remote commissioning of compressor trains.
  • Assist proposal engineering with customer offers and provide 3rd-level troubleshooting support.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Instrumentation, Controls or Electrical Engineering.
  • Sound knowledge of control theory and system descriptions.
  • Proficiency in S7, TIA Portal, WinCC, PCS7, COMOS and Allen Bradley.
  • Proven experience writing PLC programs and planning PLC projects.
  • Ability to read dimensional drawings of tilted switchgear, cabinet housings and layout plans.
  • Experience creating parts lists for control-cabinet procurement.
  • Familiarity with schematic and connection diagrams for cabinets.
  • Knowledge of component descriptions and operating manuals (Simatic, Sitop, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of CE marking, ATEX and functional safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
