Legal Counsel – Commercial & Corporate (m/f/d)

You will provide comprehensive legal and compliance advice to Siemens Energy in Kazakhstan and across Central Asia, ensuring all business activities meet local laws and international standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Act as the primary legal and compliance advisor for Siemens Energy in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.
• Draft and negotiate contracts covering commercial, corporate, IT, product liability and procurement law.
• Identify legal risks and opportunities and partner closely with business management.
• Contribute to cross-border legal projects throughout Central Asia.
• Develop and monitor compliance programs including data privacy, AML and export control.
• Deliver tailored training to strengthen compliance awareness across the organization.
• Drive process optimization and cost efficiency through lean methodologies.
• Foster an open, transparent and inclusive speak-up culture.
• Share expertise within the global Legal & Compliance community.

What You Bring

• Law degree with several years’ experience in an international law firm or multinational company.
• Proven expertise in Central Asian legal frameworks and infrastructure or energy project law.
• Practical compliance experience (data privacy, AML, export control) and risk-management skills.
• Strong contract-drafting and negotiation skills coupled with a solution-oriented, customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication abilities and intercultural sensitivity.
• Fluency in Kazakh, English and Russian.
