Your Tasks

Monitor the operation of our large gas-turbine blades & vanes and deliver condition-based technical assessments via our internal PCM system
Provide back-office support to worldwide field service on technical queries related to blades & vanes during gas-turbine outages
Analyse component applicability in individual gas turbines and operating scenarios and issue recommendations upon customer request
Prepare risk assessments for partner organisations in case of deviations from design parameters
Participate in projects, root-cause analyses and customer meetings to investigate technical issues and implement fixes and solutions

Your Profile

Degree in engineering (mechanical or materials engineering preferred)
Solid knowledge of gas-turbine operation and the design features of turbine blades & vanes preferred
Skills or experience in damage analysis (mechanical integrity, oxidation progress, crack propagation) of super-alloys under high-temperature operation
At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or design of power-plant components preferred
Fast learner who readily takes on new challenges
Willingness to travel on business and to serve the 24/7 engineering hotline on demand (approx. 10-20%)
Solution-driven team player who reliably delivers results on short-term tasks
Fluent in written and spoken English
