High Voltage Test Engineer – Power Transformers

Your Day at a Glance

As a Test Engineer in our Power Transformer High-Voltage Test Field you make sure our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance and safety – a direct contribution to reliable global energy infrastructure.

You perform tests, advance procedures, work closely with customers and interfaces such as engineering, production, quality and project management and promote a safe, collaborative workplace.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform high-voltage testing on power transformers in accordance with standards, regulations and customer specifications
• Ensure safe test operations and proactively identify risks
• Develop, improve and troubleshoot test procedures, systems and equipment
• Close cooperation with engineering, production and quality to clarify test issues and support root-cause analyses
• Maintenance of calibrated test equipment and accurate documentation of all results
• participation in continuous improvement and early integration of test requirements into product development

Your Profile

• Degree in electrical engineering or comparable qualification with at least 3 years of professional experience in high-voltage testing, preferably in transformer manufacturing
• Knowledge of transformer test standards and quality methods
• Experience with test equipment, data acquisition systems and fault diagnosis
• Strong safety awareness, analytical thinking and good communication
• Willingness to work shifts and occasional international travel
• Relocate to Charlotte, NC (relocation assistance provided)
• Availability of an unrestricted US work permit (no new sponsorship required)
