The Role

As the C-10-licensed Lead Electrician you will own every aspect of electrical infrastructure at our California flight-test sites—from Esparto to South San Francisco and Half Moon Bay. You design, install and maintain electrical systems, lead external subcontractors and ensure full code compliance. Roughly half of the work is outdoors in undeveloped terrain and varying weather.

Your Responsibilities

• Hands-on electrical installation, upgrades and maintenance to U.S. standards
• Manage subcontractors on quality, cost and schedule
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain up-to-date documentation (single-line diagrams, CAD)
• Support site-expansion projects: power supply for mock houses, observation towers, utility lines
• Enforce health & safety regulations at local, state and federal level
• Partner with internal engineering teams to refine electrical designs

Your Profile

• Active California C-10 Electrical Contractor license in good standing
• Several years of experience in electrical installation, project management and subcontractor oversight
• Proficient with CAD/SLD tools (e.g. Bluebeam) and MS Office
• Highly organized, safety-first mindset and enthusiasm for hands-on outdoor work
• Ability to travel up to 25 % between California test sites

We Offer

Base salary 90,000–115,000 USD/year (≈ 7,500–9,583 USD/month gross) plus bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits. Zipline is an equal-opportunity employer.
