Job Description

We are looking for a driven System Specialist to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Business Systems team, providing you with the opportunity to work in Gdańsk. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing up our SaaS systems and contribute to building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.

About the job We are seeking a talented System Specialist to support our Supply Chain Business Systems. This means working at the intersection between IT and business. This role will allow you to familiarise yourself with our Supply Chain systems and support the business with operational support, maintenance, and project implementations.

About the team The Expansions Systems team within the Business Systems area is small today, expanding during 2023. This means that you will get the opportunity to impact the development of the team from an early phase. The team handles the majority of the SaaS (Software As A Service) systems at Northvolt, working closely with the business, and striving to provide value and quality to our business teams.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Keeping close communication with the Supply Chain team and understanding the business requirements, as well as understanding the system and the data handled in the system.
  • Provide general day-to-day operational support to users, including monitoring systems and troubleshooting identified issues
  • Perform configuration and integration changes to address business needs
  • Document system requirements to enhance system capabilities, assisting with testing new enhancements or integrations
  • Collaborate with team members to determine areas for improvement, and actively work on projects when new implementations are needed.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • A degree in BSc/MSc in data & system science
  • Experience working in SQL and Supply Chain Systems (e.g. Ivalua, Anaplan, SupplyStack)
  • Excellent English written and oral skills
  • You are experienced with technology and the underlying principles, with the ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience

About the company

Northvolt is a European supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. Northvolt Ett is a next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, the gigafactory will be one of the largest battery cell factory in Europe and produce at least 32 GWh of capacity annually.

Alongside Northvolt Ett, Northvolt is also establishing a manufacturing site for battery systems in Gdansk, Poland. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
