Apprenticeship - Mechatronics Technician (f/m/d) in Wind Energy

2,300 qualified employees maintain, repair, optimise and inspect 7,600 wind turbines worldwide – driving the energy transition every day. Starting 01 September 2026, Deutsche Windtechnik in Geestland is offering an apprenticeship as Mechatronics Technician (f/m/d) for wind-energy systems.

Your profile

  • Technical interest in renewable energy
  • Physically fit and free from vertigo
  • Good grades in maths and physics
  • (Almost) finished school or realised your current path is not right
  • Minimum age 17 at start; driving licence class B by year two
  • Happy to travel and work at changing sites throughout Germany

Training schedule (3.5 years)

Basic training in our northern workshop: safe handling of materials, mechanics, electrical, hydraulic and control technology. Afterwards practical assignments on wind turbines with experienced instructors until you take over tasks independently. After passing you also gain qualification as an electrician – the foundation for a secure career in the wind industry.
