Deutsche Windtechnik employs 2.300 specialists in maintenance, repair, upgrading and inspection of wind turbines. For our site in Grabow we are looking for you to start an apprenticeship as Mechatronics Technician in Wind Energy on 01 Sep 2026.

Your profile

  • Interest in technical training with cutting-edge technology
  • Physically fit and free from vertigo
  • Good knowledge of mathematics and physics
  • (Soon) completed school-leaving certificate or wish to switch from current training/studies/job
  • Minimum age 17 at start, driving licence class B by second training year

Training programme

3.5-year apprenticeship to become a qualified mechatronics technician for wind-energy systems. Classroom and hands-on phases cover construction, installation, maintenance and repair of modern turbines.

Basic training in our workshop in Viöl or at Deutsche Bahn in Bremen: safe handling of materials, mechanics, electrical, hydraulic and control engineering. Afterwards deployment under real conditions at wind farms with experienced colleagues. On successful completion you gain qualification as electrician for energy systems.
