Business Controller (m/f/d)

Snapshot of Your Day Become part of our team as a Financial Analyst (m/f/d) - Factory Controlling for our Transformer Repair & Refurbishment Plant in Linz. In this role, you will be responsible for transparent and reliable controlling processes, including forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing, hourly rate calculations, and performance reviews. You will ensure that these processes are implemented efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company policies. The position is aimed at a self-motivated individual who enjoys collaborating with various teams and actively shaping the organizational structure – with a tangible impact on the future development of our business in Europe.

How You Can Make an Impact

• Financial Analysis & Planning: Preparation of financial forecasts, forecasts and budgets, hourly rate calculations, and contribution margin analyses to facilitate strategic planning and decision-making.
• Participation in detailed balance sheet analyses to ensure financial stability.
• Performance Monitoring: Development and monitoring of KPIs to measure financial performance and optimize hourly rates and cost allocation.
• Project and Cost Management: Support in project analysis through detailed financial insights and assistance with internal cost allocation.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensuring compliance with IFRS15, local GAAP requirements, reporting guidelines, and internal controls.
• Preparation and presentation of regular reports for various management levels.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Working with other departments to support financial performance and business objectives.
• Strategic Initiatives & Audits: Participation in special topics as well as communication with internal partners and external auditors. 
• Support for all finance-related project topics, including accounting, legal, compliance, tax, foreign exchange, and NCM model.

What You Bring

• University and/or FH degree in controlling, finance, accounting, or similar fields.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in controlling, accounting, or similar positions. Experience in a production environment is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS, and proficient use of SAP, Microsoft Office, and preferred analysis tools such as Alteryx and Tableau.
• Flexible working style with a strong willingness to learn and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills in German and English, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.

Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 52.853,78€ gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
