How You’ll Make an Impact

Increase competitiveness and profitability by applying modern Cost & Value Engineering methods (TcPCM, aPriori, Should Costing, MLPP, CBD) and by creating cost transparency for third-party content
Shape the Design-to-Cost and PDP process to ensure new products meet cost targets while maintaining high quality (efficiency projects, innovation workshops, design for manufacturing, voice-of-customer)
Perform should-cost analyses and benchmark supplier offers to identify highest-value partners
Collect cost-out ideas in cross-functional workshops
Enter and track all CVE initiatives in the product-cost tool PRIOneer
Support proposal teams to account for immature cost-down potentials in offers
Conduct workshops and present results up to executive level

BE in Electronics (preferred) or Electrical Engineering
5+ years as Application, Design, Product or Cost Engineer for high-voltage battery storage systems, electronic components, EV battery parts or BMS
Strong understanding of the cost and schedule impact of design, automation, sourcing and logistics decisions
Proficient in MS Office
Proven expertise in Design-to-Value, DtC, Customer Value and Cost Analysis
High degree of proactivity and drive
