Head of Mechanical Section (f/m/d) for a Combined Cycle Power Plant in Taiwan

Your Day-to-Day

As Head of Mechanical Services you will lead a team that safeguards the reliable operation of a state-of-the-art combined-cycle power plant. You coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of mechanical systems, ensure occupational safety and environmental compliance, control maintenance workflows and help to shape operating and maintenance strategies already during the plant construction phase.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all mechanical maintenance activities in the power plant
• Manage own staff and external contractors during repairs, inspections and reliability work
• Develop, review and continuously improve maintenance schedules, procedures and checklists
• Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations in all maintenance tasks
• Promote safe work practices and a quality-focused work environment
• Analyse faults, determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Drive staff development and build a high-performance maintenance crew
• Support installation and commissioning activities during construction

Your Profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
• Several years of experience in planning and executing mechanical maintenance, including knowledge of welding procedures and statutory inspections of pressure vessels, gas systems and hoisting equipment
• Thorough expertise in power-plant operations or power-plant service business
• Leadership experience and strong communication skills
• High sense of ownership, agile mindset and excellent organisational skills
• Intercultural mindset and team-player attitude
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
