Apprenticeship as Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d) in Wind Energy

We drive the energy transition: Deutsche Windtechnik maintains, repairs and optimises 7,600 wind farms worldwide. On 1 September 2026 we begin a 3.5-year apprenticeship as Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d) for wind energy at our Thomasburg location.

Trainees first attend our in-house workshop to study materials science, mechanics, electrical, hydraulic and control technology, then apply the knowledge directly on turbines alongside experienced colleagues. After passing the exam you will be a certified electrical specialist and carry out independent service work on wind turbines.

  • Good grades in mathematics and physics, (soon) holding school-leaving certificate or career changer
  • Class B driving licence by the second year of training
  • Willingness to travel and interest in cutting-edge technology

We offer:

  • 38.5 h/week, 30 days’ holiday, fair training allowance

  • Corporate fitness programme, employee discounts, team events and celebrations
  • Key qualification for a future-proof career in the renewable-energy sector
