Commodity Manager – Acoustics

As Commodity Manager for Acoustics you open the day aligning with your global team on strategic priorities. You own procurement of highly complex acoustic components within Gas Services and build resilient supply-chain strategies that advance Siemens Energy’s worldwide objectives.

Together with Cost Value Engineering, Supplier Quality and R&D you ensure sourcing decisions are technically sound, cost-effective and future-proof, driving growth, resilience and cost-out through supplier innovation, strategic negotiations and proactive risk management.

Your impact

• Lead and develop the Commodity Circle team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration
• Own global procurement strategy for acoustic components; align with Execution Unit targets
• Build a competitive, reliable and sustainable supplier base; drive supplier performance and development programs
• Partner early with Cost Value Engineering, R&D and Supplier Quality to integrate sourcing strategies into product planning
• Drive cost-out via Design-to-Cost and Should-Cost modelling; identify emerging technology and market trends
• Ensure full compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements and sustainability standards

What you bring

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
• 8+ years procurement or supply-chain experience in a global environment; cross-functional background preferred
• Strong strategic and project-management skills; fluent in English and German
• Initial leadership experience and willingness to travel internationally
