Active Part Dryer & Treater – Large Power Transformers

At Siemens Energy we make energy greener, more reliable and affordable. For our Charlotte, NC facility we are looking for an Active Part Dryer & Treater who will operate ovens, vacuum pumps and filtration equipment to dry and oil-treat active parts of large power transformers.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Run drying ovens, vacuum pumps and oil-filtration equipment, monitoring each process step
• Perform periodic inspections, maintenance checks and quality controls according to technical standards
• Develop and maintain work instructions and process documentation for drying & oil-treatment
• Mentor and train new hires in the department
• Plan daily tasks aligned with production schedules and manufacturing standards
• Ensure full compliance with EHS, QA, Cyber-Security and all other internal systems

What You Bring

• High-school diploma or equivalent plus relevant technical training/experience
• ≥1 year of hands-on experience with pumps, filters and large industrial ovens (transformer drying preferred)
• Willingness to pass Keys certification (reading & writing) and blueprint-reading test at local community college
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Additional Requirements

• Pass standard hearing, vision and pulmonary-function tests
• Read, write and understand English; follow verbal & written instructions
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship
• Willing to complete a 3-month training assignment in Mexico, Brazil or Germany; full relocation support provided
