Your responsibilities
As an NDT specialist (f/m/d) you carry out non-destructive inspections in power plants, the Mülheim works or global service shops. Using established and proprietary techniques you reliably detect material defects in highly-stressed components, document the results and provide on-site technical advice to customers.
- Perform UT/ET/MT/PT/VT inspections in accordance with ISO 9712 Level 2
- Deployment of UT phased array, TOFD, ET array and mobile mechanised systems advantageous
- Coordinate NDT personnel on site to meet scheduled outage time-frames
- Prepare inspection reports and defect documentation for engineering evaluation
- Align with backoffice and service engineering on further inspection and repair actions
- Drive continuous improvement of inspection technologies to secure competitive edge
Your qualifications
- Completed technical apprenticeship (electrical/metal) or degree in materials/mechanical engineering plus several years of NDT experience
- ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in UT/ET/MT/PT/VT, preferably with turbine-component NDT
- Experience in power-plant or asset service and high willingness to travel
- Fluent German and English, confident use of digital inspection systems
- Strong analytical, communication and customer-oriented mindset
