Senior Consultant (f/m/d) with Focus on Network Studies

Your area of responsibility

As a Senior Consultant for Network Studies, you actively shape the energy transition. You lead demanding consulting projects on power transmission, develop customer-specific solutions for efficient and climate-friendly grids, and advise clients on technical design as well as on the safe grid connection of large-scale generation, storage and load facilities.

Your responsibilities

• Lead consulting projects: coordination and motivation of interdisciplinary teams.
• Execute grid analyses and planning studies; investigate grid connection of large power plants (load-flow, dynamics, short-circuit, transfer limits, protection and voltage stability).
• Assess risks and commercial implications of grid-connection projects together with customers.
• Integrate power-electronics, renewables, storage and HVDC into AC grids – from concept to commissioning.
• Analyse high-frequency phenomena: harmonics, overvoltages, TRV, missing zero-crossings, inrush currents.
• Support business development: prepare proposals and assemble expert teams.

Your profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with Master or PhD; min. 8 years’ experience in power-system analysis.
• Proven management and leadership of international teams and projects.
• Deep expertise in transmission-network planning (100–765 kV) and software such as PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD/EMTDC, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Solid knowledge of HVDC, FACTS, industrial power systems, power electronics and renewable integration.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in English and German.
