Your role: Team Lead Architecture Switzerland (m/f/d)

You will lead, coach and foster a talented team of architects while designing our premium Swiss charging network. You combine architectural excellence with people-centric leadership to create innovative stations that set new benchmarks in design, functionality and customer experience.

Your responsibilities

• People & team development: Recruit, mentor and grow our Zurich-based Location Design team. Foster psychological safety, open feedback, creativity and continuous learning.
• Strategic design direction: Define the architectural vision for Swiss sites, aligning with Fastned’s global identity while adapting to local regulations.
• Stakeholder management: Act as primary contact for authorities, cantonal and municipal governments; build trust and streamline permitting.
• Process optimisation: Continuously improve design workflows, share best practices and implement efficient collaboration from site scouting to execution planning.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Expansion, Construction and Public Affairs to accelerate site delivery without compromising design quality.
• Innovation & excellence: Encourage new tools and methods; champion design quality to uphold Fastned’s reputation.

What we look for

Experienced architect passionate about people, customer experience and team leadership. Proven success in retail design, public realm or infrastructure projects. Cooperative, empathetic leadership style; comfortable with government stakeholders; strategic yet detail-oriented.

Must-haves

• 8+ years in architecture or infrastructure design, including leadership experience
• Degree in Architecture (ETH, university or university of applied sciences)
• Sound knowledge of Swiss building codes and permitting procedures
• Advanced Revit skills advantageous
• Fluent German and English
