Calculation Engineer (f/m/d)

As a calculation engineer in the Mechanical Engineering department, you will actively contribute your expertise, enthusiasm and commitment while taking on responsibility.

Your responsibilities

• Planning, performing and reviewing strength analyses analytically or using FEM (Ansys/Pipestress)
• Evaluating and solving technical issues in material ageing, fracture mechanics and fluid dynamics
• Analysing operational experience, preparing technical documentation and providing documents for regulatory approvals
• Handling plant modifications and leading sub-projects in modernisation programmes
• Providing specialist advice in interdisciplinary teams

Your profile

• University degree in mechanical or materials engineering
• Several years of professional experience, preferably in designing mechanical equipment
• Willingness to familiarise yourself with the design of mechanical components in nuclear plants
• Analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking skills
• Solid project-management competence
• Negotiation-level German and English
