Senior Primary Engineer – Substations & FACTS

Your Day in a Nutshell

Join our Grid Solutions Engineering team and take technical ownership of major substation and FACTS projects—ranging from SVC, FSC and HVDC to GIS and AIS switchyards—throughout the entire project life-cycle, from tender to commissioning.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Prepare and review single-line diagrams, station layouts, wiring schematics, cable schedules and BOMs
• Develop high- and medium-voltage layout drawings, sections and details
• Carry out cable ampacity, grounding, lightning, lighting and auxiliary-load calculations
• Create equipment specifications and data sheets for HV components
• Build scope-of-work descriptions and WBS; monitor engineering progress and mitigate risks
• Interface with customers, suppliers and contractors during bidding, construction and start-up
• Conduct site visits for data collection and construction support

What You Bring

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of substation design experience; FACTS/SVC know-how is a plus
• Current or eligible P.Eng. licence preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD and utility-scale project practices
