HR & Labor Relations Director – Manufacturing (Houston)

Vestas, the world's leading wind turbine manufacturer, seeks an HR & Labor Relations Director – Manufacturing for its U.S. blade and nacelle assembly plants.

Your responsibilities:

• Act as strategic People & Culture Business Partner to plant leaders, ensuring staffing and performance of the sites.
• Lead and develop the local HR team; oversee workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee & labour relations, leadership development, performance management and succession planning.
• Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements; provide expertise in U.S. employment law and union relations.
• Develop risk-mitigation strategies for labour issues and ensure compliance with all statutory and company requirements.
• Drive change-management initiatives, identify training needs and deliver programmes to enhance organisational effectiveness.

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree plus minimum 10 years HR/OD experience, including 5 years leading teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in U.S. employment law, union negotiations and manufacturing environments.
• Strong consulting, communication and prioritisation skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Comprehensive MS Office skills; fluent English.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 %; valid passport.
