How to contribute to our vision

We are looking for a self-driven Operations Coordinator to support our Resource Management Team.

As our new Operations Coordinator you will be the one who plans, schedules and deploys fully qualified and medically fit UK and European resources in line with departmental execution of all Jack Up Operations Critical Task activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, schedule and deploy fully qualified and medically fit UK and European resources in line with departmental execution of all Jack Up Operations Critical Task activities

  • Pro-actively manage all training certification & expiry dates for the UK/DK/DE Technicians & Subcontractor pool of Jack Up Operations resources. Liaise with the Siemens Gamesa Global Training Department to ensure all training requirements & re-certification is kept up to date (to allow continuous operation)

  • Management of; timely Shift pattern change notification, general shift pattern management, weather days, stand down days, training days, holidays and sick days in line with the Technician Contract

  • Working Closely with Customer and Jack Up Operations Programme Managers, Project Managers and Technical PM's to optimise the scheduling and work patterns to deliver planned work scope, including pro-active maintenance of manning levels on any given project

  • Plan and implement a training and development strategy for changes in customer demand and expectations over the next 5 years

  • Co-ordination & control of sub-contractors and internal Global resources deployed within Jack Up Operations

  • Facilitate weekly/monthly planning review meetings and ensure all key stakeholders are in attendance

  • Support with the control & management of Technician Hours, allowances, hour’s burn rate, expenses, salary review

  • Supporting the finance teams with Purchase Orders and Invoice approvals, both in UK and DK

  • Assist management and team on a daily basis

What you need to make a difference

This role requires someone who has previous experience of working in a complex and large environment interfacing with multiple stakeholders. You will have experience of working within a logistics/planning function and be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder skills, internal and external.

To succeed in this role you:

  • Experience using SAP

  • You will have excellent attention to detail and be an organised individual who can handle multiple conflicting priorities

  • Strong organisational skills and communication skills

  • Basic understanding of wind industry. Good knowledge of Siemens Turbine types beneficial

  • Working to processes and procedures

  • To be part of a dedicated major projects team to carry out warranty and maintenance work in line with company manuals and standards
