How to contribute to our vision

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Lead for our Bangalore office.

  • This individual will be responsible for leading a team of three vibration analysts and ten developers.

  • The analyst are a part of a global operational team performing vibration analysis to predict failures on drive train components like Main bearings, gearboxes and generators.

  • The developers are part of an Agile Release Train within the SAFe framework developing tools and solutions supporting the global operational team and our end customers.

  • The development team is among other things tasked with managing and improving our ETL pipeline for data ingestion into the Azure cloud, as well as various software development projects like APIs for giving access to the data stored in Azure cloud.

  • Implements internal rules and regulations and leads application service teams of professionals.

  • Ensures adherence to public and regional standards and regulations.

  • Acts as first level escalation instance.

  • Provides suitable work environment and implements people management processes.

  • Coordinates delivery of application services and controls the execution according to organizational guidelines.

  • Leads and/or coordinates a group of dedicated qualified professionals locally to achieve the targets set.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Talent Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of vibration analysts and software developers.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support career development plans.

Agile Release Train:

Follow the Agile Release Train activities, to be familiarized with ongoing an coming activities and make sure that team members are upskilled to the extend needed for these developments.

Operational Collaboration:

  • Work closely with peers in the global team to align operational goals and project timelines.

  • Make sure we live up to our contractual obligations to perform vibration analysis for the turbines agreed with the global team lead of the operational team

  • Support team on customer requests, complaints etc. for the given turbines and sites

  • Work with peers to continuously improve the performance and quality of our services

  • Manage and resolve any cross-functional team dependencies or obstacles.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize processes and enhance team productivity.

What You Need To Make a Difference

A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a technology or engineering environment preferably within the wind business.

  • good understanding of the SAFe framework and Agile methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with international teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with vibration analysis or related technologies.

  • Background in software development, preferably in full stack development.

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and related tools.

  • Knowledge of the renewable energy sector and its specific technological requirements.
