Join the worldwide transformation of power supply and shape the future of sustainable energy! As a valued member of our international team you will travel to HVDC project sites to commission electrical systems, ensuring reliable, green energy transmission around the globe.
Your responsibilities
- Take charge of technically flawless on-site commissioning of HVDC systems, including testing of related HV primary components and secondary systems
- Perform and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) together with the customer at our German test centre
- Execute and document Functional Performance Tests (FPT) and Dynamic Performance Tests (DPT) for control & protection (C&P) hardware and software
- Prepare test procedures and test programs for C&P hardware and create related documentation
- Support commissioning lead, quality manager and project managers throughout the project
- Participate in continuous-improvement programs (Lean, lifelong learning & development)
Your profile
- Degree in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable qualification
- Knowledge or first experience in electrical engineering with focus on commissioning of power plants or HVDC systems
- Solid know-how in at least one of the following areas: project planning & testing with MATLAB/Simulink, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC, grid-protection systems / protective relays and BCUs (DIGSI/Siprotec V4/5)
- Understanding of current & voltage transformers and of protection, C&P and secondary systems
- Fluent English; additional languages are an asset
- Willingness to travel worldwide, mainly for long-term assignments at commissioning sites in Germany and abroad. With sufficient experience, offshore platform assignments are possible.
- Team-player, strong communicator, proactive, positive conflict resolution and decision-making skills
